Crusades Essays (245 words) - Christianization, Crusades, Invasions

The Crusaders did the dirty work of the Christians without the Christians killing anyone. The Crusaders did not believe in anything the Christians did therefore they fought for the Christians with their own benefit. The Christians received things by sacrifice and not killing. Both were very different but together they achieved more then either one of them would by their selves. Christians believed strongly in Jesus and whatever he had instructed them. He told them to love your enemies and not to hate them. Loving them went with not killing their enemies but sacrificing or doing what they needed to do to get what they wanted. Their life was meant to be simple and not rich and to appreciate all the little things in their lives. The Crusaders had a totally different mind set. They did not care whether or not they had to kill anyone to get what they wanted. On the first crusade they killed 70,000 people in Jerusalem. When the Crusaders won a battle they took land for themselves and wanted to live rich and have power. Unlike the Christians they were greedy and wanted as much as they could get plus more. The Christians and the Crusaders were very different but together they could gain more land. With the Christians taking the suttle way and the Crusaders fighting their way through they could handle more. Without the Crusaders the Christians could not have gotten as much as they did.
